Snagging applications from BlackBerry App World became more fun and convenient with a new mobile gifting platform developed by Research in Motion (RIM). This gifting platform allows every BlackBerry subscriber to use their postpaid or prepaid account to approve and pay for the apps, airtime, and other carrier services requested by another Blackberry subscriber. This feature will be seamlessly integrated with BlackBerry App World and your carrier’s billing system, allowing gift requests and approvals to be handled directly by the carrier and subscriber. The feature also makes it easier for carriers to sell airtime to prepaid subscribers. Fees are charged to the subscriber’s existing postpaid or prepaid account, and through other payment methods.
