At last, the long wait is over! Globe Telecom finally launched the highly-coveted iPhone 4 in the Philippines today, September 24, together with a series of customizable data plans for iPhone customers. We’ve already blogged about the iPhone 4 data plans and how the plan you get affects the cost of the unit. Basically, the 16GB phone costs P37,499 but is free with a Plan 3799. The 32GB unit is priced at P43,699 but is free with a Plan 5000.
Unless you were able to register online at the Globe website, you might have a hard time getting your hands on a unit right now. Globe will be hosting an exclusive launch event on September 26 at the Makati Shangri-la and New World Hotel for the first customers who registered at the website and reserved a unit.
“Customers will enjoy a superior mobile experience with iPhone 4 on Globe’s high-quality network and wide array of fully customizable plans,” said Globe president and CEO Ernest Cu.
Globe Consumer business head Peter Bithos added, “We are very excited to deliver iPhone 4 to Globe customers. Our customers want the best in innovation and personalization and we are delivering that with the revolutionary iPhone 4.”
If you’re still not sure about trading up for a newer model, you can experience the iPhone 4 for yourself at Globe booths in Greenbelt in Glorietta.
Globe will announce the full price list and availability for the iPhone 4 soon. Meanwhile, just visit www.globe.com.ph for further details or to register interest.
