My daughter who is now back in Australia complained to me that her alarm in the iPhone was not working during the first two days of 2011. What a way for iPhone to greet the new year? She says good thing she didn’t have work that day. Apparently, iPhone did have a glitch as reported here:

iPhone alarm not working leads Apple fans to oversleep post-New Year’s

Apple spokeswoman Natalie Harrison told Macworld that the company was aware of the problem and vowed a quick fix.

“We’re aware of an issue related to non-repeating alarms set for January 1 or 2,” Harrison said. “Customers can set recurring alarms for those dates and all alarms will work properly beginning January 3.”

The problem primarily affected iPhone 4 models and earlier versions with software upgrades.

I usually use the alarm too but since it was January 1 and 2, I didn’t get to try it. My daughter tells me that the alarm seems to be working. I also tested it now and it works. Is it working for you now?
