Everything comes in convenient, compact shapes these days, and Dell’s new line of Inspiron laptops are no exception. The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 is a small, 2.2lb laptop with built-in WiFi. Its size and features are perfect for business travelers who’re always on the go, social networkers, and newcomers to the PC world because you can do all sorts of important online activity wherever there’s WiFi, like surfing, chatting, blogging, and uploading photos.

You can even customize your Dell Inspiron experience. The Dell Ispiron Mini comes in black and white, and you have a choice between the standard Windows XP (available now) or an Ubuntu Linux-based Dell-customized interface (coming soon).

Dell announced today the launch of its award winning XPS and Inspiron laptop computer systems for the rapidly growing consumer segment in the Philippines. In a dazzling display of colors and artistry – depicting the vibrancy of its Consumer Brands – Dell officially stamped its arrival in the Philippine Consumer Market.

For the first time in the Philippines, Dell will be offering its consumer brands to customers through retail partners all over the country; thus, enabling hundreds of thousands of in-store computer buyers to experience first-hand the beauty and power of Dell XPS and Inspiron Brands.

To start their foray into giving the consumers the best choices in personal computing, Dell will offer the award-winning XPS M1330 and the Inspiron 1420 laptops; and the Inspiron 530 and 530s (slim-build) desktops.

“This is an important initiative for Dell and a great way for us to connect with the Philippine customers we may not have reached in the past,” said Barry Bunyi, Country Manager Dell Philippines. “We have had strong success in the corporate segment and the time is right for us to allow the general populace to experience what Dell has to offer.”

Across ASEAN, Dell products are now available in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. The expansion plan will cover Vietnam in the coming months but one thing is for sure, Dell is giving the consumers the choice.

Priced at Php 84,995 (SRP, inclusive of VAT), standard features include a high definition 13.3-inch display, slot-load optical drive, full-sized keyboard, sophisticated touch sensitive media buttons, and HDMI support. Performance enthusiasts will appreciate the nVidia discrete graphics, integrated fingerprint reader and webcam and dual digital microphones.
